How to charge and assemble your lightsaber

Every lightsaber needs a charge and a quick assembly before its first use. Start with charging, then put your saber together.

These instructions are generic and apply to most sabers, but your specific model may require slightly different steps. If anything doesn't quite match what you're seeing, reach out to us and we'll help you out.

How to charge your saber

We recommend charging your lightsaber battery before using it for the first time. Refer to the parts guide below to help identify each piece as you go.

  1. Unscrew the handle from the hilt body
  2. Remove the core
  3. Remove the battery from the core. Use a thin flat tool, like a small screwdriver, to gently help pop the battery out
  4. Insert the battery into the USB charging cable and dock, then plug into a power source
  5. Charge for 3 to 4 hours

Assemble your saber

  1. Place the charged battery back into the core. Confirm it's seated correctly: the core should power on and make a sound when the battery is inserted properly. If nothing happens, gently move the battery in and out in small increments until it activates
  2. Insert the core back into the hilt body
  3. Screw the handle back onto the hilt body
  4. Insert the blade into the emitter
  5. Using the included hex key, gently tighten each set screw snug enough to eliminate movement. Don't overtighten or strip the screw.
  6. Power on with the button and enjoy
